She put her professional writing career on hold for several years to become a mother, before returning to focus on contemporary Christian romances. Coming back to the US, she would get a contract with Avon and publish three historical romances in quick succession. Becky and her husband travelled around quite a bit, spending three years living in the Caribbean and Australia, before coming back to the States to settle in Dallas, Texas.Įven as Becky was an avid reader and writer during her childhood, it was not until she was in the tranquil Caribbean that the urge to write came back to her. She would later attend Baylor University, where she met and married her husband, a Texan native. The plays would typically feature a prince, a heroine, and a happy ending to a love story. She has always wanted to be a writer ever since she was young, and would frequently produce homemade plays that her cousins, friends, and sisters would star in. Her debut novel was the 2012 published freestanding novel “My Stubborn Heart”.
